What to expect
If you decide to get in touch, we would speak briefly over the phone, and I would then usually invite you to come for an initial consultation. This takes place over 2-3 sessions and is a time for me to learn something about your concerns and their development. It is also a time for you to ask questions and experience how I work. During these early meetings I will be giving careful consideration to whether I think I can help you. You can also consider whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.
Ongoing sessions are at least weekly. I may suggest you come two or three times a week. This may sound like a lot, but you will probably find it allows more time and space for a deeper understanding of your concerns to develop. I also have a couch in my room: not everyone uses it but some people find lying down and not having to make eye contact is actually a more comfortable way of talking.
